  • 175g Self Raising Flour
  • 90g Low-Fat Polyunsaturated Margarine (31% fat)
  • 12 level TbspSPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener
  • 90g Plain Choc Chips or Chunks
  • 3 Tbsp Apple Puree
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Egg Yolk


Preheat the oven to 180°C (170°C Fan)

Sift the flour into a bowl. Rub in the margarine until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Stir in the SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener making sure that it is evenly distributed.

Add the choc chips or chunks, apple puree, vanilla essence and egg yolk, cutting through using a knife, then bring together to form a soft dough using your fingers or a spoon.

Cut mixture into 16 even-sized pieces. Lightly flour your hands and roll each piece into a ball.

Place on a non-stick baking sheet, or on baking paper, then press down to approx. ½ cm height using the back of a damp fork.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool on the tray.
