  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 cup UNCLE TOBYS Rolled Oats
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup Coconut, dried, grated and sweetened
  • 2 tbsp Golden syrup
  • 1 cup NESTLÉ Dark Melts
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 100g Butter, unsalted


Preheat oven to 180°C.

Place the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and coconut in a large bowl.

Place the butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the butter melts. Remove from the heat and add the dark melts. Stir while the chocolate melts.

Dissolve the baking soda in the 3 tbsps boiling water. Add to the dry ingredients with the butter mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Roll into balls 3cm in diameter and place on a lightly greased oven tray. Press the biscuits down with a fork.

Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are firm when pressed in the centre.
