Smoked Fish Pie with Garlic Bread Crust

  • 750g packet Wattie's Frozen Recipe Mix Winter Vegies
  • 1/2 Loaf French Bread, sliced
  • Garlic Butter for spreading
  • 1/2 c Lite Cream, Lite Sour Cream or Lite Creme Fraiche
  • 400g can Wattie's Cheese and Onion Vegetable Bake Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Wholeseed Mustard whole
  • 250-400 g smoked fish, flaked


Place the Wattie’s Frozen Recipe Mix Winter Vegies into a large bowl, cover and microwave on high power 100% for 5-6 minutes or until defrosted.

Add the flaked smoked fish, Wattie’s Cheese and Onion Vegetable Bake Sauce, lite cream and mustard and stir well. Transfer to a lasagne-style dish.

Spread the French bread slices with the garlic butter and layer on top of the smoked fish mixture.

Bake at 180ºC for 30 minutes or until hot and golden.
