  • 75 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sifted icing sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp cornflour


  • 200 g fruit mince
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 30 NESTLÉ White Melts, to top tarts (optional)
  • 50 g NESTLÉ Dark Melts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar to serve


1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease mini tartlet pans.

2. Cream butter, add icing sugar and beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla essence.

3. Sift flour and cornflour together and gradually stir into creamed mixture to make a smooth dough. Place rounded teaspoons of dough into the pans, then press evenly over the bottoms and up the sides, making an indent in the bottom of each.

4. Bake tart shells in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.

5. Combine fruit mince with cranberries and chopped NESTLÉ Dark Melts and spoon into tartlet cases. Return to oven for further 10-15 minutes.

6. If desired, cut small Christmas shapes of remaining pastry to decorate top of tarts. Place these on top of Christmas mince mixture before returning tarts to the oven.

7. Remove from oven and if desired top each tart with a NESTLÉ White Melt. Allow to cool in pan.

8. Serve tarts dusted with sifted icing sugar.
