Our team of Personal Shoppers are passionate about getting it right for you. That means we only pick the best, freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood. Plus with Shopper Notes you can tell us exactly what you want – whether that's green bananas or a particular colour toothbrush. You can even specify what you'd like if your first choice isn't available.

Pick up or Delivery - the choice is yours

Most of our stores offer the ability to whiz in and pick up your online shopping order. Great if you want to collect your shopping on the way home from work or after school. Pick up is FREE for orders over $50. For a faster pick up in-store, don't forget to download myCountdown app to track your order.

Can't get to the supermarket? We have lots of delivery slots available, including some same day slots if you get in early. Delivery is just $9 for orders over $200, or $13 if you spend less than that. We deliver nationwide, although there are a few far flung corners of NZ that cost a little more, so check out our Delivery, Pick-up and Returns for more information.

Spend those Onecard e-vouchers

You can earn Onecard points on your online orders to spend how you wish - either on Onecard e-vouchers or AA Smartfuel Discounts. If you’ve chosen to earn Onecard vouchers you can choose to redeem them during checkout.

Don't have a Onecard? Simply pick one up next time you're at Countdown and register and then link your Onecard.

We're so sure of the quality of our fruit, vegetables, meat, deli, bakery and seafood that, in the unlikely event you're unhappy with anything you buy from us, we'll both refund your money and replace your purchase. Absolutely! With our Delivery Saver you can get unlimited deliveries for less than $20 a month*.
Yes, you can! We offer same day delivery and pick-up slots. Availability of same day slots is dependent on 1) time of day - the earlier the better, 2) whether that slot is already full. We recommend you checkout early and reserve your slot at the beginning of your shop for the best chance of getting your shopping on the same day.
If a product you requested is not available and you’ve allowed substitutes, your Personal Shopper will try to replace the unavailable product with a similar product of equal or higher value, but we will only charge you at the price of the originally requested product. Only as a last resort, will we substitute with a lower value product. In this case, we will charge you for the lower value product.

When you reach the Review your order step you will see a checkbox next to each item labelled "Allow subs". Remove the tick from any item that you're not happy to have substituted.
