The myCountdown app is packed with great features to help make your grocery shopping easier.

  • Your shopping list
    Create and manage your shopping list on the go and have your items automatically organized to help you shop easier at any Countdown store you select. You can also send your list to online shopping, and share it with family, friends or flatmates.

  • Track your Pick up order
    We’ll notify you when your Pick up order is ready. Let us know when you’re nearby so we can have it ready for your arrival.

  • View our latest specials
    Browse our weekly mailer for your favourite products and add them straight to your shopping list.

  • Onecard rewards
    View your Onecard balance in real time, whether you’re registered to earn Onecard points towards e-vouchers or AA Smartfuel discounts.



Frequently asked questions


I've created a shopping list, but why are some items uncategorised?

If your items are showing under 'uncategorised items,’ try selecting from one of our popular items or suggestions when adding items to your list.

Adding extra notes may cause some items to be uncategorised. Please use the add quantity/notes field to add any extra notes.

We are working on improving this feature.


Can I share my list?

Yes, just click on the share icon in the top right corner to share your list with others.


Can I collaborate with others / allow others to edit my shopping list?

No, unfortunately this feature is currently unavailable.


How do I edit or delete items?

To edit or delete a single item, tap on the 3 dots or swipe left on the item.

To edit your list, select edit list (located towards the bottom right of your shopping list) to untick or delete multiple items.


Can I create my shopping list in the app and then shop with the same list on the Countdown Online Shop?

Yes, you can shop online from your list by selecting the trolley icon (locating in the top right corner of your shopping list) to send your list to online shopping.

You can choose to send your entire list or only the ticked or unticked items.


Why can I select a store on the shopping list?

To help you shop easier in-store, your list is organised based on the layout of your selected Countdown store.


When will the app be available at my local store?

The app is available in all stores nationwide.


I can't log in to track my Pick up order?

Please check you are using the same email address you log in with on the Countdown Online Shopping website.

When you are checking your email, please keep the app open and follow the verification link in the email.


My Pick up orders are not showing?

Please check you are using the same email address you used for your order and log in with on the Countdown Online Shopping website.

If your order has recently been placed, it may take up to 30 minutes to appear on the app.


How will it know when I'm nearby?

Ensure you have your location setting turn on and connected to the internet so we can prompt you to let us know when you're nearby and we can get your order ready.

Please note that Countdown does not have access to your device location when using or not using our app.


How do I search for items?

You can search for your favourite products by tapping on the search icon at the top if you are in list view, or start typing in the search bar if you are flicking through the digital Weekly Mailer.


Can I see all mailers?

We are currently only displaying the main Weekly Mailer but may look to include other mailers in the future.


Can I add items to my shopping list from the mailer?

Yes, you can add items from the mailer straight on to your shopping list. Just select the product you'd like to add and select the 'add to list' button.


The weekly mailer isn't loading

Make sure that your WiFi or mobile data is connected and click on the refresh button in the top right corner. If you continue to experience issues, restart the app by closing and reopening it.


I can't log in to the Onecard section on the app?

If you are logging in to view your Onecard balance, please ensure your Onecard is registered, and check you have entered the same details as your Onecard account.

Log in with the Onecard number on the back of your card, the same last name and date of birth as your Onecard account.

If you have an old Onecard (issued before 9 October 2016), log in with your Onecard number on the front of your card.


How up-to-date is the information about my Onecard balances?

It may take a few minutes to update. If your Onecard balance is not up to date, ensure your WiFi or mobile data is connected, and restart the app by closing and reopening it.

The app is free to download and use.

Standard mobile data rates may apply, please refer to your mobile plan.
